Voting Rights: Protecting the People’s Power
The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy but today, it’s under attack. From voter suppression and gerrymandering to deliberate disinformation and intimidation, too many Americans are being pushed out of the democratic process.
That ends with us.
I’m running for Congress to protect and expand voting rights for all. I will fight to pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and restore the full power of the Voting Rights Act, which the Supreme Court has gutted. We cannot claim to be a democracy if entire communities are being denied equal access to the ballot.
Here’s what I stand for:
Automatic Voter Registration
Everyone should be registered when they interact with government services like the DMV or public assistance programs -no extra paperwork required.Expanded Early Voting & Vote-by-Mail
No one should lose their right to vote because of work, illness, disability, or lack of transportation. Every state should offer at least two weeks of early voting and no-excuse vote-by-mail.Restore Preclearance Protections
States with a history of discrimination must be held accountable. We must bring back Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, requiring federal approval before they change voting laws.Constitutional Voting Rights Amendment
It’s time to enshrine the right to vote as a guaranteed constitutional right, protecting every citizen from political games, partisan suppression, or legal loopholes.Stronger Election Security
I support full federal funding for election cybersecurity in all 50 states, protection from disinformation campaigns, and nonpartisan oversight of election systems to restore public trust.
