The Right to a Stable Economy
Illinois families deserve more than unpredictable boom-and-bust cycles and economic policies written for billionaires. In Congress, I will fight for a stable, resilient, and people-first economy –one that supports small businesses, invests in working families, and protects our communities from economic chaos.
Having lived through the damage caused by Trump’s reckless tariffs, I’ve seen firsthand how local businesses and farmers were left behind while corporations found loopholes. Our economy shouldn’t be rigged against everyday people.
Here’s what I will do:
-
Attract Innovation and Investment to Illinois. I will work relentlessly to bring cutting-edge industries, green technology, and job-creating investments -especially to neglected communities, building generational wealth that stays local.
-
Build Economic Resilience at the State Level. Partnering with Governor JB Pritzker’s administration, I’ll help grow Illinois’ economy independently, so we aren’t left vulnerable to failed federal policies or uncertainty.
-
Reform the Small Business Administration (SBA). I’ll demand transparency and accountability so SBA funds actually reach the small business owners who need them, with a focus on equity for Black, Latino, immigrant, and rural entrepreneurs.
-
Champion Economic Justice. I support a modest 2% wealth tax on individuals with assets over $100 million, with revenues reinvested into small business grants, local infrastructure, childcare, and union job creation. True economic stability starts from the ground up -not the top down.
Working families have kept America going through economic collapse, pandemic, and inflation. It’s time government returns the favor by investing in people, not just profits.
I’m running to ensure Illinois thrives on its own terms, no matter who sits in the White House.
Let’s build an economy where working people, not hedge funds, set the course for our future.
