Reform for Veterans
US Veterans Deserve More Than Promises
Our veterans kept their promise to this country. It’s time we keep ours to them.
Too many presidents – including George W. Bush and Donald Trump have sent our troops into endless wars, only to bring them home to underfunded healthcare, delayed benefits, and shrinking job prospects. That’s not just wrong, it’s un-American.
As your Congressman, I will fight to reverse harmful cuts and fully fund the Department of Veterans Affairs to meet the modern needs of those who served.
What I’ll Champion in Congress:
Expand VA healthcare and mental health access including mobile units and rural clinic investments, especially under the VA MISSION Act and PACT Act.
Protect and streamline VA home loans, ensuring timely processing and cutting red tape so veterans can secure stable housing and rebuild their lives.
Strengthen federal employment protections for veterans, including restoring jobs cut under Trump-era freezes and privatization schemes. Veterans make up nearly 30% of the federal workforce and deserve respect, backpay, and job stability.
Build out transitional housing and assisted living through VA–HUD programs, especially expanding the HUD-VASH voucher system to end veteran homelessness.
Make VA benefits more accessible including PTSD treatment, disability compensation, and chronic illness support — with faster timelines and less bureaucracy.
This Is Personal
The only grandfather I ever knew was buried in his military uniform.
My friends, classmates, and family have served in the Army, Navy, and National Guard. Many also serve our communities in law enforcement and emergency response.
They didn’t wear a red or blue uniform. They wore the American flag.
And when they come home, they deserve more than parades -they deserve action.
I will never treat our veterans like pawns, photo ops, or statistics.
I will work to make this country worthy of their service with healthcare, housing, opportunity, and respect they can count on.
Because America doesn’t work without them. And I won’t stop fighting for them.
