Protecting Farmers
Farming is more than a job — it’s the heartbeat of America. From corn and wheat to soybeans and livestock, our farms power families, fuel economies, and feed the world. And yet, while corporate mega-farms rake in subsidies and consolidate power, young and local farmers are being priced out, shut out, and left behind.
That ends with us.
We need policies that actually support the people who work the land — not billion-dollar agribusinesses or Wall Street speculators. It’s time to level the playing field, protect our rural communities, and invest in a new generation of farmers.
As your Congressman, here’s what I’ll fight for:
Reform the FARM Bill to prioritize small and mid-sized farms, not just corporate giants.
Expand access to land and credit for new and first-generation farmers, including Latino, Black, Indigenous, and immigrant growers who’ve been historically excluded.
Protect SNAP and free school lunch programs, because agricultural policy isn’t just about crops — it’s about feeding our kids and our communities.
Support sustainable and regenerative agriculture that keeps our soil healthy and water clean for future generations.
Invest in John Deere and other local ag-tech innovation, while ensuring equipment remains affordable and repairable — yes, that means fighting for a right to repair.
Hold corporate agribusiness accountable for price manipulation, labor abuse, and environmental damage.
- Expand training and education it’s the only way for America to stay leading in up-to-date agriculture advancements with our new generation of farmers.
Farming is sacred work — but Washington has treated it like an afterthought. We’re going to change that. We will back our farmers with funding, fair markets, and freedom from corporate control. Because when we protect our farmers, we protect America’s future.
