ICE Reform: Law, Order, and Accountability
Too many families in our communities live in fear — not because of laws, but because of the lawlessness within the system. ICE agents have operated with growing impunity, and the chaos we’ve seen shootings, body slamming, wrongful detentions, and deaths — demand real accountability.
I am not calling to abolish ICE. I am calling to reform it.
The Federal Agent Accountability Act
Under my proposed Federal Agent Accountability Act, all federal agents, including ICE officers, must:
Display full uniform identification when engaging with the public — no more unmarked agents in plain clothes without visible name tags or badge numbers.
Be unmasked and clearly identifiable in all enforcement actions unless under a specific, court-approved undercover order.
Be subject to civil liability for actions that violate constitutional or human rights.
Be required to report all use-of-force incidents to a new Federal Oversight and Accountability Board, composed of community representatives, civil rights experts, and law enforcement professionals.
Restoring Law and Order Through Oversight
Law and order cannot exist without accountability.
That’s why I am calling for:
A Federal Oversight Board for ICE to independently investigate misconduct, excessive force, or wrongful detentions.
Mandatory body cameras and full video retention for all enforcement operations.
Independent audits of ICE facilities to ensure humane treatment and constitutional compliance.
Ending the Abuse of Presidential Power
Recent actions by the President; deploying the National Guard against states without consent are unconstitutional and dangerous.
We must strip the President of the unilateral power to activate the military or federal forces against American civilians or state governments without congressional approval.
No president, Republican or Democrat, should have the power to militarize our streets or intimidate Americans exercising their constitutional rights.
A Balanced Approach
Reform is not anti-law enforcement, it is pro-law and order.
Reform protects both officers who do their jobs with integrity and families who deserve safety without fear of abuse.
When agents are clearly identified, when oversight is real, and when justice applies to everyone, America becomes stronger, not weaker.
We can have safety, security, and dignity all at once.
It begins with accountability.
